Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Company Museum

About the Museum

The Seaside Heights Volunteer Fire Company Museum is pleased to announce the completion of our first microfilm and digitization project that was funded by a $4,495 grant awarded by the New Jersey Historical Commission. Over 150 weekly editions of the Ocean County Review published in 1970, 1971, and 1972, and miscellaneous editions published in other years were professionally microfilmed by Backstage Library Works based in Provo, Utah and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The master and print negatives of the microfilm were donated to the NJ State Archives, and service copies were provided to the Ocean County Library and Ocean County Historical Society. The newspapers were also digitized into .pdf and .tiff files, and are now available online by visiting the museum’s Flip Snack account. The newspapers are organized month by month. The flip tools include page magnification and a word search feature.

To view the newspaper collection please visit Flip Snack.   (http://www.flipsnack.com/seasideheightshistory)
